*Hiccup* help

I just got the hiccups...really bad. So I decided to Google "cure for hiccups". Here are some of the answers I got.

Water and Knife Method

  1. Fill up a glass of water and get a butter knife.
  2. Put the knife, blade up, into the glass.
  3. Drink the water with the blade pressing on your forehead until it is all gone.

Holding your breath

  1. Take a deep breath.
  2. Hold for as long as you can.
  3. Exhale slowly.

Open your mouth

  1. Open your mouth and keep it open for a couple of minutes.
  2. If you feel the need to swallow, do so, but try to keep your lips apart when you do.

Water Method

  1. Fill a glass full with water.
  2. Drink all the water without stopping.
  3. Hold your breath and close your nose with your fingers.

Gulp

  1. Make sure you are not wearing anything tight around your chest. If you are, loosen it.
  2. Keep gulping every few seconds, especially when you feel a hiccup might be coming. A couple of hiccups might escape, but with continuous gulping, hiccups should be gone within 3 minutes.

Looking at an object

  1. Divert your attention towards any object.
  2. Keep concentrating on the object.
  3. While concentrating, think hiccups are okay. Hiccups are not harmful. You can overcome them soon.
So what do you do to cure hiccups? *hiccup*

This ALWAYS works for me ... take ten gulps of water as fast as you can without taking a breath, then immediately hold your breath for ten seconds. I'm sure your hiccups are gone by now - but next time try it!
